This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and outlines the steps Hair to Ware Ltd has taken to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chain during the year ending March 2026.

1. Commitment from the Director

Hair to Ware Ltd is committed to conducting business responsibly, ethically and with integrity. We recognise that modern slavery, forced labour, servitude and human trafficking are serious violations of human rights and have no place within our organisation or the supply chains that support our services.

As a specialist wig fitting and hair loss support provider based in Hertfordshire, we are proud to be celebrating 25 years of supporting individuals experiencing medical hair loss. Many of the patients we support through NHS and private referrals may be vulnerable due to illness, treatment or personal circumstances, and we are committed to ensuring that dignity, respect and safeguarding are embedded within our culture and working practices.

Whilst Hair to Ware does not manufacture wigs or hair products directly, we recognise that risks may exist within the wider global supply chains associated with the sourcing, manufacture and distribution of wigs, human hair, synthetic fibres and associated products. We therefore take a proportionate, risk-based approach to supplier selection and management.

2. Our Business

Hair to Ware Ltd is an independent specialist wig salon providing:

  • Wig fitting and consultation services
  • Specialist support for individuals experiencing medical hair loss
  • NHS wig provision services
  • Wig styling, maintenance and aftercare
  • Patient-centred emotional support and guidance

For over 25 years, we have worked to improve confidence, wellbeing and quality of life for people affected by hair loss.

Our values are aligned with those of the NHS, promoting compassion, dignity, inclusion, respect and personalised care.

3. Our Supply Chain

Our supply chain primarily consists of:

  • Wig manufacturers and distributors
  • Human hair and synthetic fibre suppliers
  • Haircare product suppliers
  • Professional salon equipment providers
  • Packaging and logistics providers

We recognise that some elements of the global wig and hair industry may present increased risks of labour exploitation due to international sourcing and manufacturing arrangements.

To mitigate these risks, Hair to Ware seeks to work with reputable suppliers who demonstrate ethical business practices and compliance with applicable employment, labour and human rights legislation.

4. Due Diligence and Supplier Accountability

As part of our supplier management approach, we seek assurance that suppliers:

  • Comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and relevant employment legislation
  • Prohibit forced labour, child labour and human trafficking
  • Provide safe and fair working conditions
  • Operate transparent and ethical business practices
  • Maintain appropriate standards within their own supply chains

Where appropriate, we review supplier policies, statements and publicly available information relating to modern slavery and ethical sourcing.

Hair to Ware reserves the right to review supplier relationships where concerns relating to labour practices or human rights are identified.

5. Employment Practices

Hair to Ware maintains fair and transparent employment practices and is committed to:

  • Ensuring all employment is freely chosen
  • Providing fair terms and conditions of employment
  • Promoting equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Creating a safe and respectful working environment

We operate a zero-tolerance approach to bullying, harassment, discrimination and exploitation in any form.

6. Safeguarding and Awareness

As a provider supporting vulnerable adults and young people affected by medical hair loss, safeguarding is a key component of our service delivery.

Staff are encouraged to remain alert to indicators of abuse, exploitation, coercion and modern slavery and to report concerns through appropriate management and safeguarding channels.

We are committed to promoting awareness of modern slavery and ethical business conduct throughout the organisation.

7. Reporting Concerns

Hair to Ware encourages employees, suppliers and stakeholders to raise concerns regarding unethical conduct, labour exploitation or potential modern slavery issues.

All concerns will be treated seriously, investigated appropriately and handled confidentially wherever possible.

8. Measuring Effectiveness

We assess the effectiveness of our approach through:

  • Regular review of supplier relationships
  • Ongoing monitoring of any concerns raised
  • Annual review of this statement
  • Continuous improvement of procurement and governance processes
  • Maintaining a culture of openness, accountability and ethical behaviour

To date, Hair to Ware has received no reports of modern slavery or human trafficking within its operations.

9. Continuous Improvement

Hair to Ware is committed to continually strengthening its approach to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking.

During the next 12 months we will continue to:

  • Review supplier due diligence processes
  • Strengthen supply chain transparency where proportionate and practical
  • Monitor developments in NHS procurement guidance and best practice
  • Promote awareness of safeguarding and ethical responsibilities amongst staff
  • Support responsible procurement and social value objectives
