Adele, Human Hair Wig, Bronze Collection.

The Adele is the Rolls Royce of hairpieces. It is without a doubt, the most comfortable, long-lasting, natural, undetectable, versatile piece I have worn in my 11 years of wearing wigs.

What makes it so great? Firstly, the quality of hair. Once you have found your holy grail products (see below for mine), this hair can last and last. I am personally a ‘this is my hair’ wig wearer. Therefore, I have two of the same wig and alternate between them. I can make the Adele last over 2 years by caring for it properly and making sure that I limit the amount of heat I use. The Adele comes unstyled and once cut in with some feathery layers around my face; I feel transformed! The Adele truly is ‘my hair but better’. The silk monofilament top means that I can rock my usual centre parting, or if I’m feeling a little more dramatic a pushed back, side parting. The hand tied back is my favourite feature, as it makes the piece so comfortable – never itchy or irritating.

My pieces are in ‘Almond Roast’ and I use John Frieda Blonde shampoo and lightening spray to lift the lightest highlights (personal preference that I test on an old wig first!).

I do get a little annoyed at how easily the lace front frays – but all of them do. I just trim the little pieces with nail scissors and tweeze out any hairs that are being difficult!

However, this hair does come with a hefty price tag. You are paying for a Rolls Royce after all. If you have a Nissan budget, check out Jon Renau’s Zara – its synthetic fibers with a lace front makes it a great alternative for those who are just starting out on their wig-wearing journey or for those who like to mix up and do not want the commitment!
